Prizewinner at the International Louis Spohr Violin Competition

On November 7th, Sumina was awarded the 2nd Prize as well as the Prize for the best sonata interpretation of W. A.  Mozart's B-flat major sonata no. 26 at the International Louis Spohr Competition for Young Violinist in Weimar, Germany.

The jury this year consists of head of Jury Friedemann Eichhorn (Germany), Stephan Barratt-Due (Norway), Min Kim (Korea), Andreas Lehmann (Germany), Petru Munteanu (Germany/Romania), Paul Roczek (Austria), Jacqueline Ross (UK), Kurt Sassmannshaus (USA), Pavel Vernikov (Ukraine) and Krysztof Wegrzyn (Germany/Poland).

In the finals, Sumina performed the Mendelssohn e-minor concerto with the orchestra of the Academy for Music "Franz Liszt" Weimar and Nicolas Pasquet at the Belvedere Castle of Weimar.
